Styling High Waisted Jeans
One of our first releases of HERA Denim jeans is going to be featuring a super high waisted style (read some more about the development and behind the scenes here). We are long time lovers of high waisted jeans. They’re such a great cut on so many body types, especially on our ladies with smaller waists and bigger thighs and bums (a body shape we’re making our jeans for - read more about our fit here). You are going to absolutely love styling these jeans!
Our super high waisted jean is being designed with a wide leg. They’re modern and fresh, but vintage at the same time. This style of jean is so much more versatile and easy to style than you might think. Here are a few of our favourite but easy ways to wear a high waisted wide leg jean.
High Waisted Jeans with a Button Up Shirt
Here are three ways to style your high waisted jeans with a button up shirt. We love how easy and versatile this styling can be. Tucked in, layered over a tank or just hanging loose. Any of these looks would work well with boots instead of sandals for the colder months.
High Waisted Jeans with a Blazer
I'm sure we all have at least one blazer in our wardrobe. High waisted wide leg jeans look great with a blazer, really any jeans look great with a blazer! Such easy styling with a simple fitted top tucked in underneath, belt it or not. Wear it with boots for a dressier look or sneakers to keep it casual.
Long Coats and High Waisted Jeans
So simple to recreate this look. The key elements are a fitted plain top, high waisted jeans (of course), with a straighter or wider leg and a long coat. There are so many options out there for great long coats, you could go for something a little more fitted, or an oversized look. You could go for a trench style, a leather style or a wool blend classic. Long coats are also something you don't have to buy brand new. If you love prowling vintage stores (like us) you could absolutely find something amazing!
High Waisted Jeans with Knits
This look is probably going to be a regular go-to for us this winter. It's so perfect for those days you want to just be cosy and comfy but still look 'put together'. The key is an easy tuck in at the front to bring the waistline to your waist. It's also a look that is easily dressed up or down depending on the accessories you choose. Flat boots for a more casual style, or a popping coloured heel to take it to that dinner out vibe. You can also change it up with a buttoned cardigan that can be worn as a jumper.
Styling doesn't have to be complicated. Try mix and matching items you've never worn together before and just have fun with it.
